Moreover the team collaborates closely with the product and business team to align financial strategies with business objectives. By contributing to impactful financial decisions, the Treasury team aims to enable sustainable success and growth.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As the Lead, Treasury Policy & Procedures you will play a key role in designing, maintaining and governing Treasury’s policy framework and end-to-end Flow of Funds documentation across all products, legal entities and funding structures.

The role ensures Treasury activities are supported by robust governance, clear documentation and well-defined operating processes that meet regulatory expectations while enabling product innovation. Working closely with Product, Finance, Risk, Compliance, Legal and Operations, the role provides Treasury leadership throughout the product development lifecycle to ensure new products and changes are operationally sound, appropriately governed and accurately reflected within Treasury’s control framework.

This is a highly collaborative role requiring the ability to influence senior stakeholders across the business and drive high-quality outcomes without direct authority.

Your responsibilities will include:

Treasury Policy & Governance

  • Own the Treasury policy framework, ensuring policies remain current, effective and aligned with the business strategy and regulatory expectations.
  • Develop, maintain and periodically review Treasury policies, standards, procedures and governance documentation.
  • Ensure Treasury controls are appropriately documented and embedded within operational processes.
  • Coordinate policy approvals through relevant governance committees.
  • Maintain a structured policy review programme and oversee remediation of policy gaps.

Flow of Funds Ownership

  • Lead the design, preparation and maintenance of end-to-end Flow of Funds documentation for all products, payment journeys and legal entities.
  • Produce clear, accurate and comprehensive Flow of Funds diagrams and supporting documentation.
  • Ensure documentation accurately reflects operational processes, safeguarding arrangements, funding structures, settlement flows and Treasury responsibilities.
  • Maintain documentation throughout the product lifecycle, ensuring it remains current as products evolve.
  • Act as the Treasury subject matter expert for Flow of Funds during internal governance, audits and regulatory reviews.

Product Partnership

  • Partner with Product Managers from concept through launch to ensure Treasury requirements are incorporated into product design.
  • Challenge and influence product designs to ensure they are operationally efficient, scalable and compliant with Treasury policies.
  • Translate complex product designs into clear Treasury operating models and Flow of Funds documentation.
  • Represent Treasury within product governance forums and change initiatives.

Stakeholder Management

  • Build strong relationships across Product, Finance, Risk, Compliance, Operations, Legal and Engineering.
  • Influence senior stakeholders to adopt robust governance and documentation standards.
  • Provide Treasury expertise on new business initiatives, acquisitions and strategic projects.
  • Coordinate cross-functional reviews to ensure documentation reflects end-to-end business processes.

Continuous Improvement

  • Establish documentation standards and best practice across Treasury.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify processes and improve governance.
  • Drive consistency across products, countries and legal entities.
  • Support regulatory reviews, internal audit and external audit requests relating to Treasury governance.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • Significant Treasury experience within a fintech, digital bank or retail banking environment.
  • Strong understanding of payment flows, safeguarding, liquidity management and Treasury operations.
  • Experience developing Treasury policies, governance frameworks or operational procedures.
  • Demonstrable experience producing and maintaining Flow of Funds documentation.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence Product Managers and senior business leaders without direct authority.
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to simplify complex processes into clear documentation.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives within a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience supporting new product launches within a regulated financial services business.
  • Understanding of payment schemes, acquiring, issuing, lending and customer funds.
