Since 2017, Avride has been building expertise in autonomous technologies to create solutions that address current needs and anticipate future demands.

About the Role

We are looking for skilled Automotive Vehicle (AV) Technicians to support the build, integration, maintenance, and deployment of advanced autonomous vehicle systems. This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative, fast-paced team working at the forefront of autonomous mobility technology.

In this role, you'll apply your automotive, mechanical, and electrical expertise to complex vehicle systems while serving as a technical resource for other technicians. From hardware installation and system integration to advanced diagnostics and field support, your work will directly impact the reliability, safety, and performance of the company's autonomous vehicle fleet.

We’re looking for an experienced automotive technician who is hands-on, detail-oriented, safety-focused, and comfortable troubleshooting complex systems. Ideal candidates have strong mechanical and electrical backgrounds, experience working with advanced vehicle technology, and the ability to mentor and support other technicians.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the installation and integration of vehicle hardware, including sensors, compute modules, wiring harnesses, connectors, and electronic components.

  • Support field testing and deployments, including troubleshooting and emergency technical response.
  • Monitor vehicle condition and proactively identify potential reliability or safety issues.
  • Partner with engineering, operations, and quality teams to troubleshoot problems and provide feedback on hardware and processes.
  • Use diagnostic equipment, technical schematics, and documentation to identify and resolve system-level issues.
  • Perform electrical work involving AC/DC systems, sensors, connectors, wiring, and control modules.
  • Maintain technical documentation, tools, equipment, inventory, and shop readiness.
  • Mentor and train junior technicians, sharing technical knowledge and troubleshooting best practices.

Required Skillset:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in automotive service, robotics integration, mechatronics, or a related technical field.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Advanced diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, including the ability to resolve complex system-level issues.
  • Experience working with AC/DC electrical systems, sensors, connectors, wiring harnesses, and control modules.
  • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, technical schematics, and service documentation.
  • Previous experience leading, mentoring, or training technicians.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to provide local field support as needed.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in shop, warehouse, and outdoor field environments.
  • Detail-oriented, safety-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced technical environment.
  • Experience with electric vehicles, autonomous vehicles, ADAS, or advanced vehicle systems is highly preferred.
  • Experience with soldering, crimping, wiring fabrication, or prototyping is preferred.
  • Experience with automotive testing, data collection, calibration, or vehicle deployment operations is a plus.
