RVO Health

New York

Director, Strategic Operations.

LEADERSHIP$153.1K–167K/YR

Healthcare is complex. We’re here to change that.

RVO Health is a health technology company on a mission to make health easier to navigate, more accessible, and more affordable for everyone.

Here, you'll help over 40 million people every month, with a team that genuinely cares about the work and each other.

AT A GLANCE

We're looking for a Director of Strategic Operations to serve as a strategic and operating partner to the EVP and Chief Business Officer (CBO) of RVO Health's Media business. You'll help translate business priorities into action across commercial, editorial, product, audience, marketing, strategy and operations, keeping the leadership team aligned on key decisions and moving work toward measurable results. You'll also lead the Product Operations & Enablement team, making sure its work supports our most important business priorities.

You'll own and drive key initiatives, help strengthen business performance and accountability, and contribute to the evolution of the Media business as consumer behavior, AI, search and advertiser needs change. This role calls for someone who can build a recommendation, manage a complex project and work through the details needed to deliver results.

Where You'll Be

Location: New York City, NY | Hybrid

We believe great collaboration happens when we're together, solving problems, learning from each other, and connecting as a team. That's why we’re in our offices Tuesday through Thursday each week. You are welcome to work remotely Mondays and Fridays if you wish.

Office address: 250 Park Ave S, New York, NY 10003 (Union Square)

What You’ll Do

  • Drive strategic initiatives: Lead executional planning for priority projects set by the CBO, establishing clear owners, milestones and outcomes. Work through obstacles and help stand up new initiatives before transitioning them to permanent owners.
  • Support operating discipline: Manage the leadership team's operating cadence, track progress against decisions and commitments, and give the CBO the visibility needed to drive accountability.
  • Improve business performance: Partner with Strategy, Finance and Revenue Operations to track performance, flag gaps and help drive corrective action.
  • Support transformation: Analyze growth opportunities, investments and business models, and turn recommendations into executable plans.
  • Fill critical capability gaps: Lead selected operational and marketing initiatives, drawing on expertise in areas such as commercial marketing, AI, enablement, media planning or learning and development.
  • Strengthen executive communication: Build clear recommendations and presentations for executive and leadership audiences, and contribute to Board and external materials. Partner with Marketing on priority decks, positioning and storytelling.
  • Extend the CBO's reach: Represent the CBO in selected meetings, follow decisions through to completion, and support planning cycles, organizational initiatives and strategic partnerships.

What We’re Looking For

  • 8+ years of relevant experience in strategy, business operations, marketing, consulting, corporate development, media, digital health or a related field.
  • A track record of managing complex initiatives with multiple stakeholders and delivering measurable business outcomes, including work led without formal authority.
  • Experience working closely with senior leaders, influencing VP-level stakeholders, and constructively challenging assumptions and commitments.
  • Strong strategic, analytical and financial skills, with the ability to diagnose performance, weigh tradeoffs and recommend action.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and storytelling skills, including the ability to build compelling presentations and adapt to different audiences.
  • Strong ownership, discretion and interpersonal judgment. Comfortable turning ambiguity into a plan, managing competing priorities and working independently in a changing environment.
  • Experience in media or digital health, or depth in one or more of commercial marketing, AI, sales enablement, media planning or learning and development, is a plus.

What Success Looks Like

Within the first year, you will have:

  • Helped establish clearer priorities, ownership and follow-through across the Media leadership team.
  • Moved priority growth and transformation initiatives forward against agreed milestones and business outcomes.
  • Helped teams spot problems earlier, make decisions faster and resolve more issues without direct CBO involvement.
  • Strengthened the connection between strategy, investment, execution and business results.
  • Filled critical gaps across operational and marketing initiatives that need strategic and executional support.
