We develop innovative electronic control units for electric vehicles and stationary storage systems for our global customers. Our international team is composed of highly motivated and exceptional engineers. As a small and specialized team we are well-aware of the importance of each individual colleague and support and promote each employee according to their abilities and needs. Our office with adjacent prototype and testing lab is located in the heart of Munich at the Heimeranplatz.

This is what we stand for:

- Technological Leadership: We challenge norms, innovate quickly, and anticipate future needs. We take smart risks and learn from outcomes to stay ahead.

- Sustainability: We actively drive change for a sustainable future, aware of our impact and inspiring others to build a better world.

- Team Culture: We believe work should be enjoyable, fostering a spirit of inspiration, celebration, and teamwork across the globe.

- Entrepreneurial Spirit: We embrace change, think big, and push limits with passion.

Your role

Join our team at the forefront of the automotive energy revolution. As a Software Product Owner, you will lead the development of our Battery Management System (BMS) software, guiding it from concept to vehicle integration and series production. In this role, you will bridge customer needs, technical teams, and delivery timelines—ensuring that our BMS solutions meet the highest standards of performance, safety, security and quality.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Product Ownership: Define and prioritize software and system requirements for our BMS solution. Translate customer and system needs into actionable user stories and acceptance criteria.

  • Roadmap & Backlog Planning: Own the software delivery roadmap. Plan releases that align with customer goals and cross-functional project timelines.

  • Backlog Management: Collaborate with engineering to refine and prioritize tickets based on business value, feasibility, and milestones. Keep the backlog updated with feedback and changing needs.

  • Stakeholder Communication: Act as the main liaison between development and stakeholders. Provide regular updates on progress, risks, and scope changes.

  • Sprint Preparation & Execution: Support agile ceremonies, ensuring goals are clear, expectations are aligned, and blockers are resolved promptly.

  • Validation & Documentation: Join sprint reviews to confirm software meets requirements. Ensure proper documentation of test results, design notes, and traceability.

  • Quality & Compliance: Emphasize software quality. Ensure deliverables meet standards for functional safety, ASPICE, and automotive development.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with architects, validation, hardware teams, and customers to ensure full alignment.

  • Risk & Change Management: Proactively address risks and adapt to scope changes or technical challenges.

Your Ideal Profile

  • Proven experience as a Product Owner or Software Project Manager in automotive or industrial embedded systems

  • Strong technical understanding of automotive software development, ideally including BMS, ECU, CAN, or AUTOSAR

  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies, JIRA, and modern ALM/PLM tools

  • Knowledge of automotive standards such as ISO 26262, ASPICE, or SAE J1939

  • Hands-on experience with system testing, HIL, or integration validation is a plus

  • Strong communication skills to bridge business and engineering perspectives

  • Structured, self-driven, and comfortable managing complexity across teams and domains
