Job's Mission

As a Sales Manager at ASM in Boise, ID, you will be in a highly visible role at the center of one of the semiconductor industry's most strategic customer relationships. Unlike larger, more bureaucratic organizations where ideas can get lost in layers of approval, ASM fosters a collaborative environment where technical input is welcomed, innovation is encouraged, and individuals have the autonomy to turn ideas into action.

This role offers significant visibility across the organization, direct exposure to senior leaders, and a unique opportunity to make a measurable impact on customer success, business growth, and ASM's competitive position. • Partner closely with engineering, product management, and service organizations to solve complex customer challenges and deliver differentiated value.
  • Influence commercial and technical discussions, leveraging market insights and customer feedback to help shape ASM's strategy and roadmap.
  • Develop and execute account growth plans aligned to customer technology roadmaps, fab expansions, and long-term investment priorities.
  • Lead high-impact customer engagements, negotiations, and escalation management while maintaining strong executive relationships.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure successful execution of customer commitments, including forecasting, demand planning, and system deliveries.
  • Gather competitive and market intelligence to identify emerging opportunities and drive strategic decision-making.

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of sales, account management, business development, or customer-facing experience in a technical industry.
  • Semiconductor industry experience preferred, including semiconductor equipment, materials, chemicals, or adjacent high-technology markets.
  • Strong technical curiosity and the ability to engage credibly with engineering, manufacturing, and operations stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting or partnering with Micron or other leading semiconductor manufacturers.
  • Demonstrated success influencing customer decisions, driving growth, and building executive-level relationships.
  • Ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy, ownership, and accountability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills with the ability to align diverse stakeholders around a common objective.
  • A mindset focused on innovation, continuous improvement, and challenging the status quo.

What Sets You Apart

  • Direct experience supporting Micron in Boise or other leading semiconductor fabs.
  • Background in semiconductor capital equipment, materials, chemicals, or related technology sales.
  • Proven ability to combine technical understanding with commercial strategy to influence customer outcomes.
  • Thrives in environments where initiative, creativity, and technical input are valued and acted upon.
  • Experience introducing new ideas, building alignment, and driving execution across complex organizations.
  • Track record of identifying growth opportunities and converting them into measurable business results.
  • Desire to take on a highly visible role with direct exposure to senior leadership and significant career growth potential.
