  • Lead project teams to deliver civil and structural designs to agreed cost, programme and quality requirements.
  • Ensure projects have the appropriate skills, resources and technical expertise in place.
  • Provide technical direction and oversight throughout project delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with business quality systems, technical standards and assurance processes.
  • Support the implementation of business and project changes as directed by the Director or Associate Engineer.
  • Contribute to the development of engineers through technical guidance, mentoring and knowledge sharing.

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
  • Chartered Civil or Structural Engineer, with CEng MICE or MIStructE status.

  • Experience working within CDM and relevant health and safety requirements.
  • Broad technical knowledge across civil and structural engineering, including areas such as:

    • Foundations and substructures.
    • Earthworks and site investigations.
    • Highways, minor roads and bridge design.
  • Specialist knowledge or sector experience in areas such as nuclear, seismic, public sector, contaminated land, ground improvement, highways, rail, defence or life sciences.
  • A proven track record of successful project delivery and positive client relationships.
  • Experience delivering significant projects within one or more of the sectors we operate in.
  • Strong understanding of technical standards, quality requirements and assurance processes.
  • Proven ability to work effectively within fully integrated, multidisciplinary design teams.

What you can expect

  • Lead the delivery of significant projects across a range of sectors.
  • Work alongside experienced civil, structural and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Opportunities to mentor and develop engineers within the team.
  • Opportunities to broaden your technical and project leadership experience.
  • Flexible and hybrid working.
  • A comprehensive benefits package.
  • The role may also provide opportunities to work on projects across Europe. International experience and the ability to speak an additional European language, such as German, French or Dutch/Flemish, would be advantageous.

Many of the positions within our company are subject to security clearance or security assurance levels.

The successful candidate must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate level of security clearance or assurance level for this role, in line with client and sector requirements.

In some cases, additional nationality or residency criteria may also apply due to specific client or national security obligations.
