LHV Bank

London, Leeds

Core Banking and Accounts Product Manager.

LEADPRODUCT

LHV Bank Limited is a UK-licensed bank operating across three core business segments: Retail Banking, SME Lending, and Banking Services (BaaS). The bank is a wholly owned subsidiary of LHV Group, a listed financial services provider headquartered in Estonia. LHV Bank operates under a full UK banking licence granted in May 2023.

The Bank supports over 200 fintech clients with embedded financial infrastructure, provides retail savings products via digital channels, and offers SME credit solutions across the UK. In line with its regulatory responsibilities and growth ambitions, LHV Bank is committed to maintaining a robust and proportionate financial crime control environment.

Expanding our services, LHV Bank now provides personal banking solutions. Our offerings include current accounts with competitive interest rates, fixed-rate bonds for long-term savings, and debit cards.  Customers can conveniently access these services through the LHV App, enabling secure account opening and management.

This role owns and evolves the bank's core banking platform and account model, ensuring it is scalable, well understood and supports current and future product needs.

It is a hands-on role. Alongside setting product direction, the role holder will write detailed requirements for our platform vendor, verify and regression test what they deliver, configure the platform directly, and act as the point of contact for colleagues across the business on day-to-day ledger questions and issues. The role requires comfort working inside the detail of account structures and transaction logic, not just directing others who do.

Key Responsibilities:

Platform & Product Ownership

•    Set priorities, define success metrics and make informed trade-offs.
•    Evolve account structures and ensure scalable, consistent models.
•    Align product design with system capability and reduce complexity.

Hands-On / Specialist Delivery
•    Write detailed, testable requirements and acceptance criteria for functionality delivered by our platform vendor.
•    Verify and regression test vendor deliveries for data integrity, accuracy and consistency.
•    Investigate and resolve ledger-related incidents and data discrepancies, working with the vendor where needed.
•    Configure the platform directly for account structures, interest, limits, rules and lifecycle.
•    Provide hands-on internal support to colleagues across the business (Operations, Customer Service, Finance) on day-to-day ledger questions and issues, this is a significant and ongoing part of the role.

Engineering & Vendor Partnership
•    Collaborate on solution design and system behaviour.
•    Challenge assumptions and ensure scalable outcomes.
•    Own vendor relationship, performance and roadmap influence.
•    Build internal knowledge and improve documentation to reduce reliance on external vendors and enable teams.

Governance, Performance & Stakeholders
•    Ensure compliance with UK financial services regulations and audit readiness.
•    Monitor performance, reduce issues and improve delivery outcomes.
•    Work cross-functionally and align teams on priorities and delivery.
