At inspiring vet care, our people are at the heart of everything we do. As the UK’s number one vet care provider, we're trusted with the care of over 2 million animals, delivering our purpose of healthier animals and happier owners.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our team here at The Oak Veterinary Group. Professional and personal development is at the centre of our practice, that’s why we offer you the exposure you need to succeed. We share knowledge, build your confidence, and encourage clinical freedom and skillset growth! Ideally, we’re looking for an experienced Practitioner to join The Oak working with our existing Veterinary Team at our main site in Haverfordwest where we are due to benefit from a Premises Redevelopment Programme , as well as working at our other branches in Fishguard and St David’s all located around the Pembrokeshire Coastline.

Our practice is based in beautiful Pembrokeshire surrounded by the most stunning coastal and countryside that Wales has to offer – the extent of recreational advantages along with breath-taking scenery the best location offering 186 miles the longest and oldest established section of the Wales Coastal Path passing by 58 beaches and 14 harbours!

Our main small animal surgery in Haverfordwest offers surgery, dentistry, internal laboratory, ultrasound, radiography, and endoscopy. Our Fishguard branch has a unique facility Vet Led base offering our aquatic treadmill for hydrotherapy on site along with Physiotherapy, Laser & Massage delivered by our qualified hydrotherapy specialists including our Vet led acupuncture services. We also have an internal laboratory, dentistry, and surgical facilities at this site with use of laser in both sites.

Within our Team we have an advanced practitioner in Small Animal Surgery who performs our advanced surgeries allowing the Vet Team to deal with orthopaedic work and complex soft tissue surgery in house, and several of our Vet Team being able to perform acupuncture. We enjoy regular social events including our annual Team Building days and Christmas get together and there are also other optional get togethers all year round. Recently in 2026 one of our Nurses has actively supported a Voluntary Neutering Scheme in Sri Lanka offering her expertise with support from IVC Grant funding - we support and encourage the opportunity to offer their valuable support; they also hope to continue in future years
