Operator Main Responsibilities
Working under the guidance of the supervisor, you’re responsible for conducting the daily operation and maintenance of the Water & Wastewater facilities. This position will report to the area Operations Manager.
The main responsibilities of the position include:
- Carry out the daily operation (regulatory monitoring, reporting, process adjustments, chemical transferring and maintenance) of the facilities;
- Troubleshooting plant operations;
- Maintain required inventory and inventory control of critical spare parts, chemicals, & consumables;
- Operate and monitor Lift Stations and Lagoons;
- Operate Distribution and Collection systems;
- Complete and compile data of daily inspections, monitoring, and sampling as required;
- Perform maintenance tasks;
- Perform laboratory analysis and reporting;
- Preparation weekly, monthly, annual reports as required;
- Participate in required meetings (in-person & remotely);
- Participate and comply with all aspects of the company’s health and safety program.
Hours of Work
The Operator position will be 10 days on and 4 days off totaling 40 Hours/week.
Required Qualifications
- Current Level I or II Water Treatment Operator Certification at minimum (proof of certification is required);
- Ability to lift 25 kg (55lb);
- Intermediate to advanced mechanical knowledge;
- Ability to work under pressure quickly and efficiently
- Excellent problem solving skills;
- Microsoft Office program experience;
- Strong independent worker and team player;
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal;
- Proven ability to supervise and communicate with staff members;
- Positive attitude and able to promote a positive image of AQUATECH.
