The company
Small businesses move fast. Opportunities often don’t wait, and cash flow pressures can appear overnight. To keep going, and growing, SMEs need finance that’s as flexible and responsive as they are.
That's why we built iwoca. Our smart technology, data science and five-star customer service ensures business owners can act with the speed, confidence and control they need, exactly when it's needed.
We’ve already cleared the way for 100,000 businesses with more than £4 billion in funding. Our passionate team is driven to help even more SMEs succeed, through access to better finance and other services that make running a business easier. Our ultimate mission is to support one million SMEs in their defining moments, creating lasting impact for the communities and economies they drive.
We're looking for an Office Coordinator.
You'll run the day-to-day of our Leeds office, making it a well-run, safe and welcoming place for the 100+ iwocans who work from there.
The team
The office team looks after iwoca's four offices in London, Leeds, Berlin and Frankfurt, and the events that keep iwocans connected across them. The team is led by the Office & Community Manager, who is based in London.
The Leeds office is home to most of iwoca's collections, customer success and account management teams, plus smaller groups from across the business. It's busiest midweek, when most teams come in together.
The role
As Office Coordinator, you'll report to the Office & Community Manager. You'll be the person who keeps the Leeds office running, and the first person iwocans in Leeds come to when something needs sorting.
Ownership. You'll run the office day to day: the weekly food and drinks order, deliveries, post and supplies, and the office Soldo card, reconciled each month. You'll walk the office each week and fix small issues yourself.
Variety. You'll welcome visitors and candidates, sort out meeting room clashes, and book and oversee cleaners, tradespeople and suppliers, from the coffee machines and Billi taps to the plants.
Responsibility. You'll keep the office safe. You'll be one of the office's fire marshals and first aiders, carry out facilities maintenance checks, and keep the first aid kits stocked.
Community. You'll help iwocans in Leeds feel part of iwoca and enjoy being here. You'll run the weekly office tour for new joiners, help teams to celebrate key moments like work anniversaries and organise community events.
The requirements
Essential:
Office operations. You have at least a year's experience running the day-to-day of an office or front of house, including ordering, deliveries and visitors.
Suppliers and contractors. You have worked with building management, contractors and facilities suppliers, and held them to what they agreed to deliver.
Fixing things without being asked. You have been the person who spots what isn't working in an office and sorts it. You can talk us through examples.
The physical side. You're comfortable unpacking deliveries, setting up for events and moving supplies of up to 15–20kg.
Bonus:
First aid and fire safety. You hold first aid or fire marshal certificates. If not, we'll train you when you join.
Expenses. You have managed company expenses on Soldo or a similar platform.
Facilities qualification. You have an IWFM qualification or equivalent.
AI Literacy. Experience using generative AI tools to drive efficiency in administrative tasks, paired with the judgment to audit and fact-check all AI-generated content.
The salary
We expect to pay from £26,500 to £30,000 (pro rata for 20 hours a week) for this role. But, we’re open-minded, so definitely include your salary goals with your application. We routinely benchmark salaries against market rates, and run quarterly performance and salary reviews.
The culture
At iwoca, we prioritise a culture of learning, growth, and support, and invest in the development of our team members. We value thought and skill diversity, and encourage people to explore new areas of interest, adopt better tools – including AI – and apply sound judgement so our products and decisions improve over time.
