As a HV Technician, you will be responsible for working with high voltage electrical systems, ensuring that maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs are conducted safely and efficiently. Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair high voltage electrical equipment and systems.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and inspections on electrical systems to enhance reliability and performance.
- Troubleshoot electrical faults and provide effective solutions to restore system functionality.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards while working on high voltage systems.
- Coordinate with other team members and departments to minimize downtime during maintenance activities.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment status, and inspection reports.
- Stay updated with advancements in high voltage technology and industry best practices.
- Participate in safety training and promote a culture of safety in the workplace.
Requirements
- Technical diploma or certification in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working with high voltage electrical systems.
- Strong knowledge of electrical safety protocols and high voltage regulations.
- Experience with the installation and maintenance of substations, transformers, and switchgears.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to interpret electrical schematics.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work in various conditions and on-call as required.
