Hospitality Support - Providing Luxury Hospitality Experiences

Joseph Phelps Vineyards, renowned for producing world-class wines, seeks a passionate and dedicated Hospitality Assistant to join our dynamic team. We are committed to excellence in every aspect of our operation, from grape growing and winemaking to sales and, most importantly, hospitality. If you share our values of excellence, growth, respect, and gratitude, and are committed to providing exceptional guest experiences, we invite you to become part of the Joseph Phelps family.

SUMMARY:

Provide front-of-house support to ensure a seamless, high-touch guest experience. Support tasting and private experience service by maintaining glassware, water service, presentation areas, and back bar readiness; assisting with set-up/breakdown of indoor and outdoor spaces; and helping keep experiences on time and service areas guest-ready throughout the day.

  • Restock wines, tasting collateral, menus, and retail merchandise as needed.
  • Maintain glassware storage areas and service stations (cabinets, shelves, trays) so clean glassware is always available where needed.
  • Assist with opening and closing duties for the Guest Center, including pre-shift set-up, end-of-day breakdown, and maintaining a guest-ready appearance.
  • Support retail and wine presentation areas by maintaining clean displays, stocking products, and communicating low inventory needs to the team/manager.
  • Assist with packing wine purchases to presentation standards; offer carry-out support and ensure guests are acknowledged and assisted as appropriate.
  • Set up, flip, and break down private tasting rooms and outdoor terrace spaces (tables, chairs, menus, water service, glassware) to support scheduled experiences and smooth transitions.
  • Assist with hospitality events and member/guest experiences as needed, including set-up, service support, and breakdown.
  • Acquire and maintain working knowledge of the estate, Guest Center spaces, and current wines to anticipate needs and support service flow.
  • Greet and assist guests when appropriate, supporting smooth arrivals, wayfinding, and hand-off to the assigned Estate Ambassador.
  • Ensure that the daily opening checklist and all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by hospitality leadership to support the team and overall guest experience.
