We are seeking an experienced OFCI Package Manager to join our team on a large-scale data centre project in Helsinki Finland. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of OFCI equipment packages, from procurement through to installation and commissioning. This includes coordinating with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure equipment is delivered on time, within budget, and in line with project specifications. The role will also involve overseeing logistics, monitoring quality, driving risk mitigation, and ensuring compliance with all safety and technical standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary technical and process lead for all OFCI (Owner Furnished, Contractor Installed) equipment packages, acting as the main point of contact between client-appointed vendors and project stakeholders.
- Manage the OFCI team to ensure all works are effectively engineered, coordinated, and executed in full compliance with project specifications, schedule, and quality standards.
- Oversee the full lifecycle of OFCI packages — from procurement through delivery, installation, and commissioning — ensuring integration with the overall construction programme.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, planning, and commissioning teams to drive alignment and support seamless project delivery.
- Lead regular coordination meetings with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to review progress, resolve issues, and maintain clear communication.
- Track and report on OFCI progress, identifying potential risks and implementing proactive mitigation strategies.
- Provide technical oversight and guidance to prevent or resolve contractual and operational disputes.
- Ensure all vendor-supplied equipment meets technical, safety, and quality standards prior to installation.
- Maintain strict adherence to client confidentiality, data security, and project compliance requirements at all times.
Requirements
- Relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 7 years’ experience with an M&E contractor, ideally on mission-critical or large-scale projects.
- Proven track record in leading complex projects from design through to commissioning.
- Proficient in both Primavera P6 and MS Project, with the ability to drive efficient delivery and reporting.
- Experience managing vendor-supplied electrical or mechanical equipment.
- Experience handling package delivery through installation and commissioning.
- Experience working on live data centre builds.
- Experience in safety-critical installation environments and working to strict technical compliance standards.
- Experience acting as the main point of contact across project stakeholders.
