Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Client Lifecycle Risk & Controls Associate to support one of our Tier 1 Investment Bank clients in strengthening their US Operations governance framework. This role will be responsible for overseeing key operational processes, coordinating stakeholder engagement across multiple functional areas, and ensuring robust risk and control disciplines are maintained through the client lifecycle.

The successful candidate will act as a central point of coordination between Operations, Risk, Compliance, and client-facing teams, ensuring onboarding, account management, incident management, and control activities are executed effectively, consistently, and in line with regulatory and internal governance expectations.

This position requires a proactive individual with strong operational risk expertise, excellent stakeholder management capabilities, and the ability to drive continuous improvement within a highly regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate client and account onboarding activities, including account opening, credit approvals, and engagement with Risk, Compliance, and client-facing stakeholders.

  • Partner with operational teams to ensure adherence to established procedures, controls, and governance requirements across US-based functions.

  • Provide oversight of key operational processes including client onboarding, periodic reviews, account maintenance, incident management, and control remediation activities.

  • Monitor operational issues, control weaknesses, and process exceptions, ensuring timely escalation, tracking, and resolution.

  • Support the execution and enhancement of risk and control frameworks, ensuring appropriate documentation, evidence collection, and governance standards are maintained.

  • Produce meaningful management information and reporting to support risk oversight, operational decision-making, and regulatory readiness.

  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between Operations, Risk, Compliance, Technology, and Audit teams to address operational and regulatory challenges.

  • Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and control enhancement to improve operational effectiveness and reduce risk.

  • Contribute to internal reviews, audit engagements, regulatory examinations, and remediation initiatives as required.

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • 2-4 years of experience in Operational Risk, Controls, Compliance, Audit, Financial Crime, Governance, or Operations leadership

  • Strong understanding of client onboarding, KYC, AML, sanctions screening, reference data, and account maintenance processes

  • Proven experience managing incidents, control issues, remediation activities, and action plans

  • Sound knowledge of risk and control frameworks, including control design, testing, and evidence management

  • Experience supporting internal audits, regulatory reviews, and compliance assessments

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to produce concise reporting for senior stakeholders

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

  • Ability to influence and challenge stakeholders constructively while exercising sound judgement

  • Experience working across global teams and matrixed organizations

  • Experience driving process improvement, automation, or technology-enabled change initiatives

  • Demonstrated ownership, integrity, attention to detail, and a strong control mindset

Expectations Regarding Hybrid Working:

As we are a Service Provider and Consulting firm servicing clients, our policy on physically working from the office (which may be the client’s offices or our own offices depending on the client) aligns to what our client’s policies and expectations are and these vary. Most of our clients now require a minimum of 3 days per week in the office, 2 days from home, and accordingly, this is also the minimum expectation that Delta Capita requires. However, some of our clients have now moved up to 4 or even 5 days in the office and we require candidates to be flexible to meet our clients’ demands.

Salary Range: $70,000 - $90,000
