Plattform Engineer (m/w/d).

FULL TIMEENGINEERING

Your day-to-day work

Join cidaas and cnips, Europe’s leading SaaS services. We are a company committed to upholding the highest security standards for our products and services. As a Platform Engineer, you’ll be at the forefront of developing and implementing our infrastructure, ensuring that our platforms are scalable, resilient, and efficient. You will use your expertise in Kubernetes and automation to design and improve our self-hosted environments, playing a crucial role in delivering exceptional SaaS services.

Roles & Responsibilities

As a Platform Engineer, you’ll be part of our Infrastructure, Technology, and Design (ITD) team and ensure that our platforms run stably, perform well, and are future-proof. You’ll continuously develop our infrastructure and automate wherever possible:
  • Design, deployment, and operation of our Kubernetes clusters (bare metal and Kubernetes as a Service on OTC)
  • Operating and further developing core platform components such as KeyDB, MongoDB, Kafka, OpenSearch, monitoring, and logging stacks
  • Developing and maintaining automation using Ansible, Helm Charts, Flux, and custom scripts
  • Ensuring the platform’s scalability, stability, performance, and cost optimization
  • Contributing to architectural decisions and the integration of new technologies (e.g., in the AI domain)
  • Close collaboration with development, security, and operations teams
  • Regular modernization and replacement of existing platform stacks.

Your profile that convinces us

You’re a true engineer with a passion for infrastructure and automation. You want to design platforms, not just run them.
Technically, you bring:
  • Solid expertise in setting up and operating Kubernetes clusters
  • Experience with automation (Ansible, Helm, Flux, scripting)
  • Experience with distributed systems and platform services (KeyDB, MongoDB, Kafka, OpenSearch)
  • Knowledge of monitoring and logging systems
  • Experience in software development
  • Understanding of IT security and building secure, robust platforms
  • (Nice to have) Certifications such as CKA, CKS, or cloud certifications
You stand out for your:
  • Team spirit and strong communication skills (German and English)
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a structured manner
  • Willingness to take responsibility for platforms
  • Class B driver's license (for occasional assignments at the data center).

What we offer you

  • Modern technologies & room for innovation – from cutting-edge SaaS architecture to new technologies we actively experiment with. We’re looking for creative minds who shape technology rather than just implementing it – even in the age of AI.
  • Exciting products, renowned clients & an international team – we develop innovative solutions with colleagues from various countries. Chances are you already use cidaas yourself—maybe even more often than you realize.
  • Team events & celebrations—whether it’s bowling, laser tag, go-karting, a summer party, or just relaxing in a beer garden: We make a point of taking time to celebrate successes together and strengthen team spirit.
  • Healthy & motivated – our in-house gym is available for you to stay fit and clear your head.
  • A culture of appreciation meets a modern work environment – you’ll work in an open team where you’re seen and valued, and in an environment that fosters creativity.
  • Training & development – we actively support your personal and professional growth.
  • Unwinding together – whether it’s a quick break in the breakout zone, a round of foosball, or our monthly Gaming Day: shared activities provide a balance to the workday and strengthen team cohesion.
  • Flexibility with a team focus – remote work is possible for up to 12 days a year, offering additional flexibility in your daily work routine. At the same time, we embrace an “office-first” approach.
