V.Ships Leisure is looking for Mandarin Speaking Demi Chef De Partie on behalf of MSC Cruises.
- As a Demi Chef De Partie with our prestigious cruise line, your primary role will be to contribute to the delivery of exceptional dining experiences for our guests.
- You will work alongside a team of skilled chefs in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of exquisite meals, maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and food safety.
- You’ll have the opportunity to demonstrate your culinary expertise in a frenetic, vibrant environment while ensuring the smooth operation of the galley.

- As a member of our MSC Family, you are responsible for ensuring that our guests have an unforgettable and pleasant experience. All the positive work you do even when not directly in contact with guests, will impact their experience.
- Prepare Products for all designated meal periods to company standard.
- Support the Chef de Partie to prepare daily orders for the designated station.
- Ensure all quality, taste & presentation is of a professional high standard.
- In Absence of the Chef de Partie attend daily food operational meetings.
- Provide constant guidance and support to all crew in the section.
- Apply all food cost control measures in accordance with company requirements.
- Monitor all issues that can lead to food waste in the section.
- Follow MSC Public Health regulations using HACCP protocols.
- Help control and organize efficiently all responsible storage areas.
- Report defects in equipment to the Executive Sous Chef.
- Ensure proper storage of food in refrigerators and freezers in the Area.
- Ensure all schedules are correctly followed.
- Works responsibly and consistently to ensure guest satisfaction.
- To qualify for this position, you must:
- Proven experience as a Demi Chef De Partie in a similar kitchen environment, ideally within the cruise industry.
- Fluent English
- Strong culinary skills with knowledge of various cooking techniques and methods.
- Excellent understanding of kitchen hygiene and food safety standards.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage time efficiently.
- A positive, can-do attitude with a passion for guest service and teamwork.
- Flexibility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Good communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to work in a team.
