Position Overview
We are currently looking for a meticulous and driven Onboarding & Due Diligence Associate to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in safeguarding our ecosystem by ensuring seamless client onboarding and robust ongoing monitoring for entities in Malta and other global jurisdictions.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Onboarding & KYB Reviews: Complete comprehensive reviews of incoming customer onboarding cases, ensuring that the application of Know Your Business (KYB) principles aligns consistently with Andaria’s KYB policy and customer risk assessment framework.
- Document Verification: Review KYB documentation obtained directly from customers, utilizing internal validation tools and reputable external sources to verify AML documentation with high precision.
- CDD/EDD Management: Request appropriate Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) documentation during the onboarding process and lifecycle of the Customer to ensure Customer files are fully complete and compliant with internal policies and procedures.
- Client Ongoing Monitoring & Periodic Reviews: Execute ongoing customer due diligence and periodic reviews for existing clients based on their risk profile, ensuring all documentation, ownership structures, and risk assessments remain accurate and up to date.
- Trigger-Based Reviews & Account Activity Monitoring: Monitor client portfolios for material changes, trigger events (such as changes in ownership or business activity), and atypical transaction patterns, initiating timely reviews and escalation where necessary.
- SLA Tracking & Follow-ups: Follow up on pending CDD/EDD requests, ensuring all client communications are handled efficiently and issued within defined Service Level Agreements.
- Screening: Investigate potential matches generated by our scanning applications to ensure appropriate risk-mitigation measures are taken.
- Reporting & Escalation: Provide clear, structured information to management regarding any AML/CDD issues or emerging risks.
- Client Service Excellence: Maintain a high-quality service level for both internal departments and external customers, ensuring all queries are managed professionally and escalated appropriately when needed.
- Process Enhancement: Support the continuous enhancement of our CDD function and help maintain up-to-date standard operating procedures.
What We Look for In You
- 2 or more years of hands-on experience in AML and CDD/EDD reviews within the financial services, fintech, or regulated corporate sectors.
- Direct experience with the onboarding of new clients in Malta as well as cross-border or international jurisdictions.
- A genuine team player who works effectively within a tight-knit function to deliver exceptional service quality.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an eye for detail.
- An excellent command of spoken and written English is mandatory.
