About the Role:
As General Manager of our Burlington location, you'll own every aspect of the restaurant: building and leading a strong team, delivering a premium guest experience, and driving the financial success of the location. You'll be the person who sets the tone on the floor and makes Burlington a place both guests and staff love to be.
What You'll Do:
- Lead day-to-day restaurant operations, ensuring smooth table service and consistently high standards in guest experience, product quality, and efficiency.
- Hire, train, coach, and motivate your team; oversee onboarding, scheduling, performance reviews, and ongoing development.
- Manage inventory, supplies, and ordering, with strong controls over waste and shrink.
- Own the location's financial performance, including sales, food cost, and labour.
- Deliver outstanding hospitality: respond to guest feedback, resolve concerns, and understand what drives guest loyalty.
- Partner with head office and marketing to bring local promotions and campaigns to life.
- Uphold food safety, health, and workplace safety standards across the restaurant.
- Support special projects across the broader Demetres organization as opportunities arise.
Your Skills and Experiences:
- 3+ years of management or supervisory experience in hospitality or food service (full-service or table-service restaurant experience strongly preferred).
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills; a track record of building and motivating diverse teams.
- A genuine passion for hospitality and a commitment to premium guest experiences.
- Solid financial and operational acumen; comfortable owning inventory, food cost, and labour.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills; calm and decisive under pressure.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.
