INCH & CO.
Founded in 2012 by brothers Johnny and Jeff Inch, Inch & Co. has grown from a small local builder into an award-winning family of companies, named one of Central Pennsylvania's fastest-growing companies by the Central Penn Business Journal in 2022. Headquartered in York, PA, we take an integrated approach to real estate spanning land development, design, construction, management, and long-term investment, so quality and purpose are built into every detail.
About Inch & Co. Construction
Inch & Co. Construction is the building arm of the Inch & Co. family, designing and constructing commercial, industrial, and multi-family properties throughout South Central Pennsylvania and Northern Maryland. Our portfolio spans multi-family communities like The Flats at Hampden and Fairway Flats, as well as commercial and industrial projects like the MCI Commercial Office and Sherman Street Warehouse. Because we operate inside a vertically integrated company, our crews work on projects that go from land development straight through to construction and long-term management, all under one roof.
Our culture is key for our growth
Inch & Co. started as a family business, and that hasn't changed as we've grown. The company traces back to a small landscaping business built by John Inch Sr. in 1994, later carried forward by his sons Johnny and Jeff into a multi-division company spanning construction, real estate, development, landscaping, and property management. That third-generation mentality still shapes how we work. We hold ourselves to a high standard, we take care of our people, and we give back to the communities we build in through initiatives like Inch Gives Back. On our job sites, that shows up as a crew that looks out for each other and takes real pride in the work.
We're looking for amazing people to join our team (more specifically, a CONSTRUCTION LABORER). The role is based in York, Pennsylvania.
Here's where you come in
You're hardworking at heart and ready to put in an honest day's work. You take pride in what you build, you show up on time, and you're not afraid to get your hands dirty. Whether you've got years of labor experience or you're just starting out in construction, you're eager to learn from the tradespeople around you and willing to adapt to whatever the job site needs that day.
What you should know about our team
Our crews work side by side, with laborers supporting skilled tradespeople and taking direction from foremen and crew leads to keep every project on schedule. We rely on each other constantly, because on a job site, safety and communication matter as much as skill. We value people who are dependable and punctual, follow instructions, and pitch in wherever the work is needed, whether that's framing one day or site cleanup the next.
What you should know about Inch & Co. Construction
Think builder first, and proud of it. We got here by outworking bigger firms and treating every project like it's the one that will define our reputation. That mentality hasn't changed as we've grown into a company with projects across Pennsylvania and expansion into Virginia, North Carolina, and Tennessee. We're willing to teach, we promote from within, and we expect the same hard work and attention to detail from everyone on the crew, no matter how long they've been with us.
Overall Purpose
The Construction Laborer role gives our skilled tradespeople and project teams the support they need to deliver quality residential and commercial projects from the ground up. It's often the first stop for someone building a career in construction, and it plays a direct part in keeping our job sites safe, our projects on schedule, and our finished work up to the standard our name is built on.
