As a Project Engineer Intern, you'll work alongside experienced project managers and field teams, gaining exposure to the day-to-day operations of construction projects. You'll apply what you've learned in the classroom while developing the technical and professional skills needed for a successful career in construction.
This internship is ideal for students pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field who are eager to learn in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
What You'll Do
As a Project Engineer Intern, you'll assist the project team with a variety of responsibilities, including:
- Assist with preparing and tracking project submittals and shop drawings.
- Help maintain Requests for Information (RFI) logs and support timely project communication.
- Assist with project schedules, status reports, and meeting minutes.
- Support project documentation and closeout activities.
- Help prepare warranty and operations & maintenance (O&M) manuals.
- Assist with estimating and preconstruction activities as assigned.
- Attend project meetings and gain exposure to project planning and coordination.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Previous construction or engineering internship experience is helpful but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
