We are seeking an enthusiastic, confident Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Downland Vets on a full-time basis.

Downland Vets is based on the south coast with access to the sea and glorious surrounding countryside. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an experienced team that is passionate about putting patients first and delivering high standards of client care. Our team includes 8 Veterinary Surgeons, a large team of Registered Veterinary Nurses and a dedicated support team who work together to ensure the day runs smoothly. The practice is well-equipped with ultrasound, X-ray (including dental X-ray), endoscopy, four consult rooms and an in-house laboratory. The successful candidate should be confident in working in all areas of patient care and first-opinion small animal practice, though a keen interest in nursing clinics and consultations would be the icing on the cake. We have a large client base and are keenly growing and improving our nurse-led clinics and initiatives. As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences. 

 

You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice. 

This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week. The exact shift pattern is to be discussed, but this will include 1:6 Saturdays, 8 am - 1:30 pm. Part-time applications will also be considered 

 

*Nurse consultations

*Anaesthesia monitoring

*Inpatient monitoring 

 

 

 

 

We’re looking for a confident and motivated Registered Veterinary Nurse who enjoys working as part of a team and delivering high standards of care. You’ll bring: 

 

* Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS 

* Experience working in clinical practice, with growing confidence in medical and surgical nursing 

* Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues 

* Good organisational skills and the ability to manage workload effectively 

* A proactive approach to learning, reflection, and continuous improvement
