About Goodwall

Goodwall is a TIME100 award-winning social education app, empowering over 4 million youth with skills in AI, climate, and entrepreneurship through impactful experiential learning.

We serve as the trusted bridge to impact and connect GenZalpha with Fortune 500 companies, governments, and international organizations, including Microsoft, Accenture, HP and UNICEF. We co-build engaging experiential learning campaigns for the next generation to help young people across the globe gain the confidence, skills, and networks to achieve better livelihoods.

Backed by leading investors, Goodwall has been recognized as a World Economic Forum Global Innovator, TIME100 Top EdTech, and featured by FastCompany, Bloomberg, CNBC and Forbes.

Your Role

As our Learning Experience Designer, you will own how young people learn in our programs. Success means more of them start what you design, finish it and leave with skills they can put to work.

The role is hands-on and runs from the first concept we pitch to the design that goes into production. Once a program is live, you will study how it performs and use what you learn to make the next one better. You will work closely with our partnerships, program, creative and product teams, and the standards you set will shape every new program we launch.

What you will do

Strong concepts for every partner pitch

  • Translate partner goals into program concepts with a clear learning proposition and a compelling experience for young people.

  • Shape each concept with our partnerships team, drawing on input from program managers and our creative team.

  • Collaborate with our product team to ensure that you ground every concept in what the Goodwall app can deliver, and flag early where new capability is needed.

Programs young people finish

  • Research each program's topic and audience, so every design is relevant, credible and built around how young people learn.

  • Design the full learning experience for each program, from learning outcomes and structure to activities, assessments and the path to a credential.

  • Apply proven learning design and gamification techniques to keep every program clear, mobile-first and motivating.

  • Refine each design with program managers and partners until it is signed off, then support our creative and production team as they produce it.

Better results with every launch

  • Meet regularly with program managers to review how each program’s content formats, visuals and challenges are landing with young people, drawing on the insights and feedback they share.

  • Engage with our community of young people through surveys, testing and direct conversations to understand what resonates and what needs to change.

  • Stay on top of research and best practice in learning design, edtech and youth engagement, and bring the strongest ideas into our programs.

  • Turn these insights into design improvements for future runs and new programs.

A consistent learning and visual standard across programs

  • Support the creative team in setting the standard for the formats and visual style used in program content, working closely with our content lead so every program is consistent and recognizably Goodwall.

  • Use visual communication to make learning clearer, so key ideas are quicker to grasp and easier to remember.

  • Support and provide input in the building and maintenance of design templates, patterns and guidelines that new programs start from.

  • Contribute to our Program Design Playbook so what works is captured and shared.

Programs and product moving together

  • Work alongside our Product team as each program is built, so it makes full use of the app's features and gives young people a smooth, connected experience from start to finish.

  • Build feedback loops between programs and product, turning what learners do and say into clear, prioritized input for the product roadmap.

  • Pilot new product features through programs and report back on what works, so product decisions are shaped by real learner behavior.

  • Stay close to the roadmap, so upcoming features inform program design early and programs are ready to use them at launch.

What we offer

  • A Mission Driven company that you can be proud to be a part of.

  • Unrivaled Exposure to leading Fortune 500 companies, governments, and other international organisations, including in person at events at the likes of UNGA or Davos.

  • High growth and ownership environment as we double year on year in our impact and scale

  • Impact at Scale: We accelerated over one million youth with AI Fluency skills in 2025 alone. You will shape how the next ten million learn.

  • A fast-moving environment working with an international team, where change is constant and creativity is celebrated.

  • Competitive compensation, equity options, a flexible work environment with a high-energy, capable global team with offices in Cape Town, London, and Geneva.

What you bring

  • Hands-on experience in program, learning, experience or service design.

  • Proof you can run several design workstreams at once and keep them consistent at volume.

  • Real fluency in Gen Z culture: how young people learn, what they share and what makes them switch off.

  • Confidence presenting ideas live to senior partner stakeholders, and the judgment to defend a learning design decision under commercial pressure.

  • Skill writing clear briefs that creative and production teams can build from, plus working knowledge of prototyping and AI tools.

  • Comfort with data: you use completion and engagement results to improve what you designed.

Nice to have

  • A background at an experiential, brand-partnership or purpose-led creative agency, or a youth-culture consultancy.

  • Experience designing edtech, skilling or social-impact programs.

  • Experience working across multiple markets, especially in Africa, Asia or Latin America.

  • Gamification or community design experience on a digital platform.
