- Production Cost Analysis: Calculate and analyze the actual cost of production (finished goods and work-in-progress) by tracking raw materials, direct labor, and manufacturing overhead (MOH).
- Standard Costing Management: Establish, maintain, and periodically update standard costs for all products and components.
- Variance Analysis: Identify and analyze differences between standard costs and actual costs. Investigate causes such as material waste, purchase price fluctuations, or production inefficiencies, and recommend corrective actions.
- Inventory Control & Reconciliation: Monitor inventory movements (raw materials, packaging, and finished goods). Reconcile book balances with physical counts and lead periodic and annual physical inventory audits.
- Scrap and Waste Monitoring: Track production scrap, waste, and spoilage rates to ensure they remain within allowable limits and report any abnormal losses.
- Profitability and Break-Even Analysis: Evaluate the profitability of specific products and production lines and calculate break-even points to guide sales and pricing strategies.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Actively participate in preparing the factory’s annual budget and monthly forecasts, ensuring accurate cost projections.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare weekly and monthly cost reports for corporate finance and plant management, providing clear insights and cost-saving recommendations.
