The Opportunity

Senior DevOps Engineer

Role Summary

The primary execution lead for platform engagements. You own features and work streams from design to production. You are a trusted hands-on expert capable of building secure platforms, automating complex workflows, and executing critical migration tasks.

Role and Responsibility

  • Architect and implement secure, scalable cloud landing zones, ensuring adherence to best practices for networking and identity management.

  • Lead technical execution for migration or modernization streams, handling complex cutovers, rollback planning, and data integrity validation.

  • Design and implement observability solutions, defining Service Level Indicators (SLIs) and actionable alerting policies to reduce operational noise.

  • Refactor legacy deployment processes into modern, automated CI/CD pipelines that support complex branching and release strategies.

  • Implement "Shift Left" security practices by integrating automated vulnerability scanning and policy enforcement into the delivery lifecycle.

  • Administer and optimize Kubernetes clusters, configuring advanced networking, ingress controllers, and autoscaling policies.

  • Mentor junior consultants by reviewing their code, providing architectural guidance, and enforcing practice-wide engineering standards.

  • Automate repetitive operational tasks using advanced scripting or custom CLI tools to eliminate toil.

  • Collaborate with client engineering teams to resolve critical technical blockers and drive adoption of cloud-native patterns.

Required Experience and Qualifications

  • 5–7 years of engineering experience, with at least 3 years focused on Cloud, DevOps, or SRE.

  • Deep administration skills in Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) or comparable container orchestration platforms.

  • Proficiency in Python or Go for writing robust automation scripts and tooling.

  • Strong understanding of hybrid connectivity architectures, including VPNs, Interconnects, and DNS resolution.

  • Proven experience designing and maintaining production-grade Infrastructure-as-Code environments (Terraform).

Certifications

  1. Google Cloud: Professional Cloud Architect

  2. Industry: Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
