Careem

Karachi, Pakistan

Senior ERP Functional Expert.

SENIOR LEVEL

Careem is building the Everything App for the greater Middle East — making it easy to move around, order food and groceries, manage payments, and more. Our purpose is simple: to simplify and improve people’s lives and build an awesome organisation that inspires.
Since 2012, Careem has enabled earnings for over 2.5 million Captains, simplified the lives of more than 70 million customers, and built a platform where the region’s best talent and entrepreneurs thrive. We operate in 70+ cities across 10 countries, from Morocco to Pakistan.

We’re now entering our next chapter — one powered by AI. We’re looking for AI talent: curious problem-solvers who know how to apply AI to build tools, automate workflows, and create real impact. Whether it’s streamlining operations, enhancing customer experience, or reimagining internal systems — we want people who can make Careem work smarter and move faster.

About The Role

Careem is looking for a senior individual contributor who is a true functional expert in Oracle ERP. You will be the go-to specialist across Finance and Supply Chain, hands-on in the system every day: designing and configuring solutions, solving complex production issues, and turning business needs into stable, scalable ERP processes. You will work from Pakistan with stakeholders in the UAE and other Careem markets.

What You'll Do

  • Finance
    • Act as the subject-matter expert for General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Fixed Assets.
    • Configure and optimize period-close, reconciliation, intercompany and reporting processes.
    • Translate finance requirements into clear functional designs and hands-on configuration.
  • Supply Chain & Procurement
    • Act as the subject-matter expert for Procurement, Purchasing and Supply Chain processes and their financial impact.
    • Streamline procure-to-pay flows, approvals, supplier setup and controls.
    • Identify and deliver automation opportunities across the end-to-end process.
  • Delivery, Support & Stability
    • Personally investigate and resolve production incidents, and drive root cause analysis so issues do not recur.
    • Support major incident bridges as the functional authority for your modules.
    • Own quarterly release testing, regression and change readiness for your areas.
    • Lead data migration, reconciliation and reporting work (OTBI, BI Publisher).
    • Work with the Integration team on ERP connections to payments and data platforms (OIC,REST/SOAP).
    • Partner with vendors and system integrators to review designs and quality of delivery.
    • Document designs, configurations and runbooks, and coach colleagues on best practice.
  • Key Skills:
    • Oracle Fusion Financials: General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets
    • Oracle Procurement and Supply Chain: procure-to-pay, purchasing, supplier management
    • Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), REST/SOAP APIs and middleware
    • Data migration, reconciliation and reporting (OTBI, BI Publisher)
    •  Functional design, configuration, testing and user acceptance support
    • Incident, problem and change management (ITIL-style), root cause analysis
    • Process automation and low-code workflow tools
    • Quarterly release testing and regression management
    • Clear written and verbal communication with business and technical team

What You'll Need

  • Minimum 15 years of hands-on ERP implementation and support experience, with deep functional expertise in Finance and Supply Chain.
  • Deep experience with Oracle ERP (Fusion Cloud), or an equivalent such as SAP or Workday.
  • Proven record as a senior individual contributor on large multi-module programs, including integrations and data migration.
  • Strong grounding in ITIL-style incident, problem and change management.
  • Ability to turn complex business needs into clear functional designs, and to explain them to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong ownership, sound judgment and a calm approach to production issues.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance or a related field. An MBA or Master's degree is preferred.

What we’ll provide you

We offer colleagues the opportunity to drive impact in the region while they learn and grow. As a full time Careem colleague, you will be able to:

  • Work and learn from great minds by joining a community of inspiring colleagues.
  • Put your passion to work in a purposeful organisation dedicated to creating impact in a region with a lot of untapped potential.
  • Explore new opportunities to learn and grow every day.
  • Work 4 days a week in office & 1 day from home, and remotely from any country in the world for 30 days a year with unlimited vacation days per year. (If you are in an individual contributor role in tech, you will have 2 office days a week and 3 to work from home.)
  • Access to healthcare benefits and fitness reimbursements for health activities including gym, health club, and training classes.
