Tia

Brooklyn, New York, United States

Medical Director, Clinical Quality.

LEADERSHIP

About Tia

Tia is building a new model for women’s healthcare, one that treats women as whole people, not separate conditions or life stages. By integrating primary care, mental health, gynecology, dermatology, and wellness across both in-person and virtual settings, Tia is improving outcomes, lowering costs, and creating a better experience for patients and providers alike.

About the Role

You will play a pivotal role in advancing Tia's clinical strategy, improving patient outcomes, and shaping the future of women's healthcare. This is a highly strategic, hands-on physician leadership role focused on identifying opportunities to improve care, designing system-wide quality improvement initiatives, and continuously evolving Tia's evidence-based care model.

Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer, you will leverage clinical data, population health insights, and emerging medical evidence to identify gaps in care, develop targeted interventions, and drive measurable improvements in clinical quality and patient outcomes. You will lead initiatives that strengthen clinical practice, advance provider education, and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement across Tia's markets and care teams.

You will help rethink and redesign how Tia delivers care for women, translating the latest research and clinical best practices into innovative, scalable approaches to care delivery.

This role is equally divided between clinical leadership and direct patient care, with approximately 2.5 days per week dedicated to each, ensuring that strategic decisions remain grounded in frontline clinical experience.

Why Tia

Tia is building a new model of women’s healthcare that treats women as whole people, not separate conditions or life stages. By integrating primary care, gynecology, mental health, and wellness, we are creating a more connected and effective healthcare experience.

This role offers a unique opportunity to remain closely connected to patients while shaping how care is delivered across the organization. You will have the ability to turn evidence and quality data into meaningful changes in clinical practice, influence the standards used by multidisciplinary care teams, and help define what high-quality, whole-person care for women should look like at scale.

What You’ll Do

Clinical Quality Strategy & Population Health

  • Lead the development and execution of Tia's clinical quality strategy, driving measurable improvements in care delivery, patient outcomes, and population health.
  • Analyze clinical performance data, patient outcomes, and population health trends to proactively identify gaps in care, opportunities for improvement, and emerging clinical needs.
  • Design and implement system-wide quality improvement strategies, targeted clinical interventions, and risk mitigation plans that address identified gaps and improve health outcomes.
  • Establish measurable goals and evaluate the effectiveness of clinical quality initiatives, continuously refining strategies based on outcomes and emerging insights.

Care Model Innovation & Evidence-Based Medicine

  • Partner with the Chief Medical Officer to shape Tia's clinical strategy and continuously evolve its integrated care model.
  • Stay at the forefront of women's healthcare research, emerging evidence, clinical innovations, and evolving standards of care, translating these insights into meaningful improvements in clinical practice.
  • Challenge traditional approaches to healthcare delivery, identifying opportunities to rethink and redesign how Tia delivers high-quality, evidence-based care for women.
  • Lead the development and evolution of clinical policies, protocols, and care pathways that support consistent, high-quality care across markets and service lines.

Clinical Education & Continuous Improvement

  • Foster a culture of clinical excellence, continuous improvement, and evidence-based practice across Tia's clinical organization.
  • Develop targeted clinician education, training programs, and interventions that address identified quality gaps, strengthen clinical decision-making, and improve patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Clinical Operations, Analytics, Learning and Development, and multidisciplinary clinical leaders to translate quality strategies into scalable, sustainable improvements.
  • Partner with Tia's Clinical Advisory Board and subject matter experts to incorporate clinical expertise and emerging evidence into care model innovation.

Clinical Practice & Leadership

  • Maintain an active clinical practice approximately 50% of the time, leveraging frontline experience to inform clinical quality strategy and care model improvements.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor and thought partner to the Chief Medical Officer on clinical quality priorities, population health initiatives, and the future direction of Tia's care model.

What You’ll Bring

Required Qualifications

  • MD or DO with board certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
  • Active, unrestricted medical license and willingness to obtain additional state licenses as needed.
  • 5+ years of post-residency clinical experience, including experience in primary care or women's health.
  • 2+ years of experience leading clinical quality improvement, population health, or care model transformation initiatives with demonstrated impact on patient care or outcomes.
  • Strong analytical ability to interpret clinical performance data, identify systemic gaps in care, and develop measurable, evidence-based improvement strategies.
  • Experience designing and implementing targeted clinical interventions and educational programs to improve clinical performance, care consistency, and patient outcomes.
  • Experience developing and executing enterprise-wide clinical quality strategies, including establishing quality measures, monitoring outcomes, and driving continuous improvement across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate emerging clinical research and translate evidence into improvements in clinical practice and care delivery.
  • Strong strategic judgment, with the ability to influence multidisciplinary teams, challenge existing practices, and drive organizational change.

Nice to have

  • Experience leading quality improvement initiatives across multiple locations, markets, or service lines.
  • Experience in an integrated, value-based, digital health, or high-growth healthcare environment.
  • Formal training or certification in healthcare quality, patient safety, clinical informatics, or medical education.
  • Experience serving on or leading a clinical advisory board, quality committee, or clinical governance group.

Work Location

This role is open to candidates based in the New York City, San Francisco, or Los Angeles markets and may be based at any Tia clinic within one of those markets. The selected candidate’s primary clinic location will be determined based on their location and Tia’s clinical needs.
