Insurity’s Next Cloud Operations Analyst

As a Cloud Operations Analyst, you'll coordinate service management work across Insurity's Cloud AppOps environment — tracking incidents, problems, changes, and onboarding tasks through to closure, and keeping change control and SLA reporting on track. You'll work closely with engineers, and stakeholders using Jira to keep operational projects moving.

This role suits a detail-oriented, self-starting coordinator who juggles multiple tickets and projects at once and communicates clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders alike. You'll fit well on our Cloud AppOps team if you bring strong ITSM instincts and the flexibility to reprioritize in a fast-moving operations environment.

What Our Cloud Operations Analyst Will Do

  • Maintain ownership and accountability for service management assigned tasks and small projects.
  • Document requirements, define scope and objectives for service management tasks and projects.
  • Help breakdown service delivery requirements and delivery problems (incidents, problems, requests, and changes) into manageable parts and assess risk throughout the implementation.
  • Identify risks and help develop mitigation plans.
  • Track and bring task impediments, issues, and onboarding blockers to closure.
  • Provide status reports to stakeholders.
  • Support and participate in PI Planning, Scrums, and service review routines.
  • Maintain and enhance service management operational procedures and runbooks.
  • Facilitate operational areas such as but not limited to: Change Control, Incident Management, Problem Management, Request Management, FinOps and Disaster Recovery Exercises.
  • Help manage internal team member and external vendor relationships necessary for a successful project delivery.
  • Coordinate assigned operational projects, including meeting cadence, action tracking, and status reporting through closure.
  • Collaborate with peers on best practices.
  • Stay up to date on industry and job-related trends and best practices, including reading relevant publications, articles, blogs, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Incident Management

  • Prepare and present root cause analysis and incident reports.
  • Coordinate postmortem activities.

Change Management

  • Coordinate weekly change control activities and approval process.
  • Participate in the implementation of strategies to optimize operations.

FinOps

  • Support incident, RCA, and credits review activities alongside senior leadership, ensuring the accuracy of related data.
  • Map quarterly SLA credits owed to different clients based on outages across different products, in coordination with senior leadership.

Who We’re Looking For
