This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll drive service standards, support daily store operations, coach team members in the moment, and act as a trusted keyholder. Whether you're leading a morning huddle, helping a customer find the perfect fit, or keeping the store running smoothly during peak trading periods, you'll bring Gymshark's values to life every day.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
- Leading from the front to deliver an outstanding, human-first customer experience.
- Coaching and motivating team members to achieve exceptional service and operational standards.
- Running daily team huddles, sharing priorities, and creating energy on the shop floor.
- Supporting customers with product recommendations, outfit builds, and fitness-focused advice.
- Driving sales through genuine customer connections and value-led conversations.
- Taking ownership of shop floor presentation, stock availability, merchandising, and store standards.
- Serving as a keyholder, opening and closing the store in line with operational procedures.
- Acting as the on-duty leader when required, confidently making decisions and solving problems.
- Supporting stock flow, replenishment, deliveries, and back-of-house organisation.
- Handling customer queries and escalations with professionalism, care, and sound judgement.
- Ensuring health & safety, cash handling, and operational checks are completed accurately.
- Adapting quickly to changing priorities while maintaining a positive and productive environment
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
Essential Criteria:
- Previous experience in a retail leadership role, with a track record of coaching, mentoring, and supporting team members.
- Experience working within a retail store environment, either on the sales floor or within a stock/operations function.
- Previous keyholder experience.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to create genuine customer connections.
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to lead teams through busy trading periods.
- Ability to multitask while maintaining high standards across customer service, operations, stock management, and visual presentation.
- A proactive, solution-focused approach and the ability to make decisions when needed.
- Passion for fitness, wellness, community, and the Gymshark brand.
- Adaptable mindset with a willingness to learn, develop, and embrace feedback.
- Valid Right to Work in the UK
This role is subject to a Basic DBS check. We assess any information received in relation to the DBS check on a case‑by‑case basis and handle it in line with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and our data protection obligations
