Essential Responsibilities including but not limited to Performs a variety of duties for the setup, delivery and servicing of food to patients. Follows position-specific job flow, completing all assigned tasks. Maintains clean work environment, follows all HACCP requirements and completes daily cleaning assignments. Follows all patient tray delivery and retrieval procedures as outlined on job specific job flows. Follows all Room Service delivery procedures as outlined on the Room Service Host/Hostess Audit form. Follows dish/pot cleaning procedures. Helps put away dishes and pots throughout the day. Sets up, delivers, and clears catered events effectively and on time. Actively engages in teamwork to help the department run smoothly, assisting others throughout the day. Follows all department specific policies and procedures Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Communication: Must possess verbal and written skills to communicate effectively and courteously with a diverse group of professional and non-professional members of the health care team, patients and family/significant others. Ability to complete on the job training. Ability to read, write and follow written direction in English. Must be able to follow instructions. Minimum Education High school diploma or equivalent preferred. FUNCTIONAL DEMANDS Physical Demands Standing and walking throughout the day. Some lifting and bending required. Pushing and pulling of food tray carts. Work Environment Exposure to hot steam and water. Requires use of sharp instruments, exposure to cleaning agents. Pay Range: $17.00 - $22.88 The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
