Reporting to the Production Manager at our Indianapolis, IN bakery manufacturing plant, local producers of Marie Callendar pies, you will lead team members through the plant's process improvement opportunities and manage production team members to attain production and quality goals. You will identify problems or bottlenecks in production processes and resolve issues. Ensure production resources including materials, equipment and human resources are available to maintain production schedules. 2nd Shift approximate expected hours: Monday-Saturday, 2:30pm to 11:30pm with some Sunday's (2 weeks on 7 days a week and 2 weeks off where it's 5 days a week). A Taste of Your Responsibilities Monitor production to ensure that quality, productivity, and cost standards are maintained. Lead team in tracking and understanding goals, Gap Analysis, and creating action plans to address performance gaps. Provide resources and training to employees to ensure that employees are performing job responsibilities. Troubleshoot problems and implement corrective actions through root cause analysis. Enforce plant rules, regulations and procedures. Support plant and company safety programs, promoting a high level of awareness and adherence to defined employee safety requirements such as lock-out/tag-out, personal protective equipment and confined space entry.
