Job Description: Afinitas is expanding and launching a new satellite technical office in Des Moines, Iowa, and we're looking for Mechanical Engineers at all experience levels to join our growing team. What You'll Do As a Mechanical Engineer, you'll be involved in the full product lifecycle, from concept development and design through manufacturing support and continuous improvement. Key responsibilities include: Developing innovative machine and equipment concepts Creating detailed designs, engineering drawings, and technical documentation Performing engineering analysis and design calculations Developing and maintaining bills of material (BOMs) Evaluating and implementing design improvements Collaborating with manufacturing teams to support equipment builds and process improvements Working cross-functionally with engineering, operations, sourcing, and project management teams Utilizing SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and other engineering tools to develop customer-focused solutions What We're Looking For Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering Experience ranging from entry-level through senior engineering positions Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes Experience with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar CAD platforms Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced engineering environment Why Afinitas?
