About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Accounting Officer to manage the accounting and financial follow-up of Joint ventures involved in project-based activities. The Accounting Officer will ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and effective coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full accounting cycle for several Joint Ventures.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly reporting.
- Ensure accurate bookkeeping, including journal entries, reconciliations, and closing processes.
- Monitor cash flow, project costs, and partner allocations.
- Prepare partner reporting and financial summaries for joint venture participants.
- Coordinate with project managers, partners, auditors, and external accountants.
- Ensure compliance with local accounting regulations and internal procedures.
- Assist with audit processes and provide required documentation.
- Improve and maintain accounting procedures and internal controls.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in A to Z accounting, preferably in project accounting, joint ventures, or construction environments.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and proactively while coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple entities/projects simultaneously.
Language Requirements
- Fluent in English, and
- Dutch and French (professional working proficiency).
Additional Assets
- Experience with joint ventures accounting.
- Experience working in international or project-driven environments.
- Knowledge of ERP accounting systems.
