Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced SAP BASIS Solution Architect with strong expertise in SAP landscape transformation, cloud migrations, and pre-sales solutioning. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in SAP BASIS administration, S/4HANA migrations, HANA upgrades, and public cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP). The candidate will be responsible for solution architecture, proposal development, customer presentations, and solution defense during the sales lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Define end-to-end SAP solutions for customer transformation and migration programs.
- Design and architect SAP S/4HANA migration and greenfield implementation solutions.
- Lead pre-sales activities, including solution estimation, proposal preparation, and effort sizing.
- Support RFP/RFI responses and participate in customer workshops and discovery sessions.
- Prepare and deliver solution presentations, oral submissions, and defend proposed solutions with customers.
- Collaborate with sales, delivery, and consulting teams to create winning proposals.
- Assess existing SAP landscapes and recommend modernization strategies.
- Design SAP deployment architectures on public cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Provide technical guidance on SAP BASIS administration, cloud migration, HANA upgrades, and SAP infrastructure optimization.
- Work closely with delivery teams to ensure smooth transition from pre-sales to project execution.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Overall 6 to 9 years of SAP experience with strong expertise in SAP BASIS.
- Hands-on experience in SAP Public Cloud Migration, SAP HANA Upgrades, and SAP S/4HANA environments.
- Certification in SAP on Azure, AWS, or GCP is mandatory.
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in a Pre-Sales Solution Architect role.
- Proven experience in S/4HANA migration, system conversion, brownfield, and greenfield implementation scenarios.
- Strong understanding of SAP architecture, BASIS administration, landscape design, and system management.
- Experience in solution definition, effort estimation, and architecture from a pre-sales perspective.
- Prior experience in SAP consulting and delivery engagements.
- Exposure to SAP solution offerings across multiple modules at an enterprise architecture level.
- Strong understanding of cloud-based SAP deployment models and migration strategies.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience across multiple public cloud platforms.
- Knowledge of SAP RISE, SAP BTP, and SAP cloud transformation offerings.
- Experience working on large-scale enterprise transformation programs.
- Strong commercial acumen and proposal management experience.
Success Profile
- Track record of successful pre-sales engagement for opportunities ranging from $1M to $50M.
- Experience preparing and delivering customer presentations, solution walkthroughs, and oral defenses.
- Ability to engage with CXO-level stakeholders and influence decision-making.
- Strong problem-solving, consulting, and solutioning capabilities.
