This role specifically focuses on medical event coverage, patient evaluation, development and communication of individualized care plans, care coordination with other healthcare providers and disciplines, and delivery of patient and family education in collaboration with our attending providers for the 6th - 12th graders at University School of Milwaukee. The Athletic Trainer practices within the Board of Certification domains—prevention, assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation—while applying experiential knowledge and evidence‑based guidelines to ensure high‑quality, patient‑centered care. Board of Certification (BOC) for Athletic Trainers required. State of Wisconsin Athletic Training License (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire) required. Experience or interest in working with pediatric or adolescent patients preferred. Ability to work effectively with a diverse patient population and contribute to a culturally competent environment. Current CPR certification (BLS for Healthcare Providers) through American Heart Association or American Red Cross required.
