The Case Staffing Manager is responsible for the allocation and staffing of legal matters within Jackson Lewis. This position will initially support the broader case staffing efforts for the firm as a floater and potentially be aligned to specific offices as practices expand. Oversee the assignment of attorneys to various matters based on their skills, experience, and availability. This role will develop an understanding of attorney caseloads, individual attorney strengths, areas of expertise, capacity, and billable hours trends. The Case Staffing Manager will understand all aspects of each matter, including complexity of litigation when assigning matters. Responsibilities Manage all aspects of matter staffing, understanding each case's unique needs as well as a deep understanding of individual attorney knowledge skills and abilities. Use firm resources and technology. Ensure attorneys' caseloads stay on track to meet billable requirements. Handle transitions of matters during attorney departures, leaves of absence, and integration of new hires. Maintain a client-focused approach to strengthen relationships. Recognize the significance of each opportunity to nurture and strengthen client relationships within local offices. Skills and Educational Requirements: Bachelor's degree required; JD preferred. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a litigation law firm; employment law preferred. Proven work in fast-paced, high-volume work environment. Key Skills: Attention to detail and multitasking in a fast-paced setting. Advanced organizational and time management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication. Proven ability to interface effectively with employees at all levels within the firm. Proficiency in technology use and assessment. This position is also eligible for annual bonuses. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
