Location: Office based, Leeds Duration: Full-time, 12-months Start Date: July 2027 KICKSTART YOUR CAREER IN LIFE SCIENCES Fortrea’s 2027 industrial placement offers students pursuing a Bachelor's degree in life sciences the hands-on experience needed to confidently launch a successful career in the fields of Life Sciences, Healthcare, and Clinical Research. You'll gain real-world insights into the cutting-edge knowledge and processes driving modern Drug Development to bring new medicines to life. WHAT YOU´LL DO During your 12-month placement, you’ll work within our Clinical Operations Team as part of a structured rotation across two areas. This gives you a comprehensive understanding of how life-saving medicines begin their journey: Clinical Operations: After comprehensive training and working alongside the clinical operations team, you´ll work directly with patients and healthy volunteers. You’ll assist with tasks such as taking blood samples, monitoring vital signs, performing ECGs and other study assessments. Screening – Learn how volunteers are assessed and approved for participation in Phase I clinical trials. You will receive full training to conduct screening interviews and completing assessments.
