This position is based in the Detroit, MI area, supporting General Motors operations within a high-volume warehouse environment focused on pick and pack, sequencing, inventory management, and material flow. We are seeking a hands-on Floor Supervisor to lead daily warehouse operations while ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and customer expectations are consistently met. Key Responsibilities Supervise daily warehouse operations, including pick and pack, sequencing, shipping, receiving, inventory control, and material flow activities Lead, coach, and develop hourly employees while driving accountability and performance Monitor productivity, quality, inventory accuracy, and safety performance across the operation Ensure materials and customer orders are processed accurately and delivered on time Provide daily direction and support to warehouse associates while maintaining a positive work environment Support employee training, onboarding, and performance management initiatives Investigate operational issues and implement corrective actions when necessary Maintain compliance with customer requirements, company policies, and safety regulations Monitor labor utilization and support workforce planning activities Complete operational reports and communicate performance updates to leadership Partner with maintenance, quality, materials, and customer teams to support operational goals Promote continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, quality, safety, and customer service Maintain a strong floor presence and actively support day-to-day operational challenges Qualifications 2+ years of leadership experience in warehousing, logistics, manufacturing, supply chain, or distribution operations preferred Previous experience supervising hourly employees in a fast-paced environment Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control, material flow, and productivity standards Experience supporting automotive or high-volume manufacturing operations preferred Strong communication, leadership, and employee development skills Ability to coach employees, solve problems, and drive accountability Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Proficiency with Microsoft Office and warehouse management systems preferred Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment Bachelor's degree preferred but not required Universal Logistics Holdings, Inc.
