A successful Portfolio Analyst keeps the model portfolio management function organized, informed, and operating smoothly. This individual ensures leadership has timely visibility into portfolio activities, execution progress, governance outcomes, and emerging risks through high-quality reporting, effective stakeholder coordination, and disciplined follow-through. By owning the details, monitoring portfolio operations, and supporting day-to-day execution activities, this role enables portfolio leadership to remain focused on strategy, prioritization, stakeholder engagement, and value realization across Client Protection's AI and modeling portfolio. As Client Protection expands its portfolio of AI, analytics, and modeling initiatives, effective AI and model portfolio management requires strong coordination, operational discipline, and visibility into execution. Maintaining portfolio health, supporting governance forums, and providing timely insights enables leadership to focus on strategic priorities, stakeholder engagement, and value realization across an increasingly complex book of work. The Portfolio Analyst supports Model Portfolio Management within Client Protection by coordinating portfolio activities, maintaining operating rhythms, and providing reporting, analysis, and communication support across AI and modeling initiatives. Working closely with portfolio leadership and stakeholders, this role drives follow-through on key activities, develops portfolio reporting and presentations, maintains critical trackers and governance materials, and helps ensure initiatives remain organized, visible, and on track. This position provides a unique opportunity to gain firsthand experience in how analytical capabilities are prioritized, governed, and scaled across a large enterprise environment. Responsibilities: • Support execution of Client Protection's portfolio management operating rhythm, including recurring forums, governance activities, stakeholder meetings, and reporting routines. • Track and coordinate follow-up actions across stakeholders, ensuring open items are completed, dependencies are managed, and commitments are delivered on time. • Prepare initial drafts of presentations, portfolio updates, status reports, and other materials for leadership review and refinement. • Develop and maintain portfolio trackers, dashboards, and reporting artifacts that provide visibility into initiative status, portfolio health, delivery progress, and key metrics. • Gather, organize, and validate information from business, technology, analytics, and governance partners to support portfolio reporting and decision-making. • Support the preparation and execution of AI and modeling forums by coordinating materials, managing meeting logistics, documenting outcomes, and tracking follow-up actions. • Capture meeting notes and prepare summaries, action items, and meeting minutes for leadership review and distribution. • Coordinate routine stakeholder engagement and day-to-day portfolio activities, enabling leadership to focus on strategic priorities and executive-level discussions. • Apply project and portfolio management practices to support planning, execution, issue tracking, dependency management, and delivery oversight across multiple initiatives. • Identify emerging risks, execution challenges, and process gaps, escalating issues and supporting timely resolution as appropriate. • Support continuous improvement of portfolio management processes, reporting frameworks, and operating routines to enhance efficiency, transparency, and consistency. Required Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Operations Research, Business Analytics, or a related discipline. Equivalent experience will be considered. • 2+ years of experience in analytics, business analysis, project management, portfolio management, operations, or a related field. • Strong presentation and storytelling skills with the ability to develop clear, well-structured executive materials from complex information. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple activities, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously. • Demonstrated ability to independently drive follow-up actions, coordinate across stakeholders, and bring work products to completion. • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing meeting notes, executive summaries, and status updates. • Experience maintaining trackers, reports, dashboards, or portfolio management artifacts. • Ability to navigate complex organizations, build relationships across teams, and source information from multiple stakeholders. • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to proactively identify and resolve issues. • Interest in AI, analytics, data science, and how analytical capabilities are deployed and managed within large organizations. • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, intellectual curiosity, and willingness to learn. Desired Qualifications: ▪ 4+ years of experience in analytics, business analysis, project management, portfolio management, or a related field. • Familiarity with AI, machine learning, data science, or advanced analytics concepts. • Experience creating executive presentations and business communications. • Experience working within regulated environments or large enterprise organizations. • Familiarity with portfolio management, governance, reporting, or project management methodologies. • Exposure to data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, Python, Power BI, Tableau, or similar technologies. Please review the resume writing and interviewing tips provided below to help prepare you for your next career opportunity. Getting started Regardless of the position you are interested in, the starting points to building your resume are the same: 1. Determine the job or types of jobs you want to do and research their responsibilities and qualifications. 2. Think about why you can do the job and make a list of your skills that are relative to the job. 3. Identify experiences or accomplishments that show your proficiency in the skills required for the job. 4. Summarize your abilities, accomplishments and skills into a brief, concise document. Considerations when writing a resume • Do be brief. Resumes should be 1-2 pages in length. • Do be upbeat and active in your wording. • Do emphasize what you have done clearly and concretely. • Do be neat and well organized. • Do have others proofread and critique your resume. Spell check. Make it error free. • Do use high quality, white or light colored 8½ x 11 paper. Use a laser printer if possible. • Don't be dishonest, always tell the truth about yourself in the most flattering light. • Don't include salary history or requirements. • Don't include references. • Don't include accomplishments that do not support your professional goals. • Don't include anything that isn't relevant. (For example, don't mention your fondness for swimming unless you want to work on the water.) • Don't use italics, underlining, shadows or other fancy treatments. Seven steps to a successful interview 1. Anticipate –Put yourself in the interviewer's position. What do you believe the interviewer is most interested in? Why do you think you have been invited to interview? 2. Research –What are the primary functions of the line of business? What are the success factors for the job? Is there a job description available? 3. Assess –Think about your skills, abilities, knowledge, interests, traits, values and accomplishments. Match them to what you know about the job. Consider which ones you should highlight. 4. Prepare Answers –Think about what the interviewer may ask, determine what the best answer is and write it down. 5. Prepare Questions – Interviewing is a two-way street. By asking thoughtful questions, you communicate your interest and learn a lot about the job. Choose two or three questions to ask your interviewer. Avoid asking a lot of questions about vacation time or breaks. 6. Practice – It may seem awkward, but it is the best way to come across well in an interview. Practice your own "great responses" with others or in front of a mirror until you appear relaxed and at ease. 7. Follow-up – Send a brief follow-up letter to the interviewer. Keep in mind that the many job searchers will not send a follow-up letter. Sending one can become a competitive advantage.
