The team provides patient care and supportive services directed towards achievement of positive patient care outcomes, maximizing the patient’s involvement in his/her own plan of care and reducing the length of hospitalization, The staff nurse plays a critical role in staff engagement, the patient experience, quality and safety, and cost-effective care. Position Summary: The Staff Nurse is responsible for managing and providing care to the patient and his/her family, and for directing and supervising nursing care provided by other members of the patient care team. The Staff Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, coordinating, delegating and evaluating the nursing care of patients in alignment with the professional practice model. Minimum Qualifications For Hire: 2- year College Degree in Nursing from a CCNE (Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education) or Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) accredited nursing program is required. Bachelor’s degree in nursing with a major in Nursing from a CCNE (Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education) or Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) accredited nursing program is preferred. Current Ohio license or interim permit required. 2 years of experience in critical care or procedural setting is preferred. On-going: Maintains current Ohio RN license. Additional Information: The Electrophysiology (EP) Lab, located within The Ross Heart Hospital, is one of the largest and most advanced EP programs in the region, providing comprehensive care for patients with complex heart rhythm disorders. Our team performs a wide range of highly specialized procedures—including cardiac ablations, device implantations, and advanced electrophysiology studies—using state of the art mapping systems and the latest cardiology technologies.
