At Mövenpick Hotel Auckland, we're passionate about creating memorable experiences for our guests. We're looking for an energetic and hands-on Conference Supervisor to lead the day-to-day delivery of our conference and and event operations.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced hospitality professional who enjoys leading a team, building strong client relationships, and ensuring every event is delivered to the highest standard.
As our Conference Supervisor, you'll be responsible for:
- Leading conference, banquet, and event operations from setup through to packdown.
- Supervising and supporting the conference team during service.
- Ensuring conference rooms and event spaces are prepared to the highest standard.
- Delivering exceptional guest experiences and resolving issues professionally.
- Conducting team briefings and ensuring smooth event execution.
- Coordinating with Kitchen, Front Office, Sales & Events, and other departments.
- Maintaining presentation, cleanliness, and operational standards across all event spaces.
- Assisting with training, coaching, and development of team members.
- Taking ownership of operations and making confident decisions during shifts.
- Previous experience in conference, banquets, events, or hospitality supervision.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- A passion for delivering exceptional guest service.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- The ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
- Confidence working independently and leading operations when required.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
- A current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate or the ability to obtain one
