The opportunity We are looking for a Software Engineering Manager to lead the Web team delivering Unity platform support to web on desktop and mobile form factors. Our mission is to enable Unity developers to bring their titles to the web seamlessly, bridging functionality gaps and allowing our users to leverage the full power of the Unity Engine across browsers everywhere. The team’s goals include delivering stable platform support, realizing developer workflows for Unity users to unlock the unique features of this platform, and leading optimization initiatives to enable Unity to be efficient on the widest possible array of target devices. What you’ll be doing Own and drive the near-term execution and technical strategy for the team Collaborate internally with other core Unity engineering and graphics teams Communicate your team’s vision and progress internally and externally Foster a high-performance, supportive culture by mentoring and coaching your team, actively guiding their professional development and career growth. What we’re looking for Experience developing and managing a high-performance software engineering team Proven technical knowledge in desktop/mobile/web platform technology stacks using platform APIs to build native applications Demonstrated success in collaborating with internal Product owners and external partners to achieve alignment on technical specifications and interdependencies. Expertise as a software engineer, and a working familiarity with C++, C# and JavaScript Ability to assimilate and understand a large and complex software product You might also have Familiarity with real time 3D rendering techniques and graphics APIs including Vulkan and/or WebGPU Familiarity with WebAssembly and Emscripten. A methodical approach to prioritizing and developing innovative optimization solutions A passion for the future of computer games or real-time 3D experiences in a variety of settings Expertise leading remote teams using Agile development methodologies Familiarity with when and how to best use AI in the software development process. Base Salary Range: We determine the base salary range for this role based on your primary work location: United Kingdom Zone A: £75,400 - £113,000 GBP gross Zone B: £86,200 - £129,400 GBP gross Finland Zone A: €73,000 - €109,400 EUR gross This range reflects the anticipated base salary for this position. Beyond base salary, this role may be eligible for equity awards and participation in our company incentive plans (such as annual discretionary bonuses or sales commissions). The final offer amount will depend on several factors, including geographic location and the candidate’s relevant experience, professional background, and skill set.
