Supports assigned activities and documentation in alignment with corporate policies, regulatory requirements, standards, and continuous improvement initiatives. Contributes to the effectiveness of the BMS/QMS through documentation, monitoring, controls support, and usability improvements. Participate in evaluations and remediation with internal and external stakeholders, including assisting with responses, tracking follow-up actions, and supporting the resolution of compliance and conformance issues. Participate in control-related activities to support appropriate control design, testing, and documentation. Review and update documentation based on regulatory changes or organizational updates. Monitor and evaluate performance metrics and trends for continuous improvement. Work with cross-functional teams to support content accuracy and accessibility. Assist with requirements gathering, perform testing, and support implementation of system updates and enhancements. Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action planning and follow-up. Assist in the preparation and update of training and reference materials for the BMS/QMS processes, tools, and documentation. Job Requirements Education: Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Systems/Software Engineering, Information Technology, or other related Technology field or equivalent combination of experience, training, and education. Experience: Minimum 1 year experience in technology, quality management, compliance, or systems administration roles. Experience with governance frameworks and controls testing. Experience working in or closely with business and/or operational functions. Experience working with policies, standards, governance, and procedures documentation. Experience with business and reporting tools (e.g., PowerBI, SharePoint). Knowledge: Knowledge of documentation management practices. Knowledge of communications and collaboration principles required to provide clear explanations of processes, requirements, and documentation expectations, and to support users in assigned areas. Knowledge of business and reporting tools such as Power BI, SharePoint, and Microsoft 365 suite. Awareness of compliance standards, audit principles, and controls management. Abilities: Ability to develop technical documentation such as user guides, procedures, standards, guidelines, and training. Ability to conduct reviews of proposed changes to ensure adherence to mandated policies, procedures, and standards. Ability to review policies, processes, and procedures within the context of BMS/QMS principles and to propose improvements. Ability to work with stakeholders to clarify requirements and support process and documentation updates Personal Suitability: Analytic, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Flexible work arrangements: This position is a hybrid position with a minimum – 3 days per week on site. The work location is the Ottawa Technical Systems Centre.
