Job Summary Synechron is seeking a Java Developer to develop, maintain, and deliver scalable Java applications. The role includes technical coordination, team mentoring, solution design, troubleshooting, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. Software Requirements Required Java 8+ Spring and Spring Boot RESTful APIs and microservices Maven or Gradle Git JUnit and Mockito SQL and relational databases CI/CD and Agile/Scrum practices Docker or equivalent containerization tools Preferred Java 11+ Cloud platforms Kubernetes Kafka or equivalent messaging tools SonarQube and monitoring tools Overall Responsibilities Lead or coordinate Java development activities. Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain Java applications. Translate business requirements into technical solutions. Review code, designs, testing, and documentation. Troubleshoot issues and perform root-cause analysis. Collaborate with technical and business teams. Support secure coding, automation, and continuous improvement. Technical Skills Programming: Java 8+, object-oriented programming, concurrency, and performance optimization. Databases: SQL, relational databases, JPA/Hibernate; NoSQL is preferred. Cloud: Cloud deployment, scalability, and availability; cloud-native development is preferred. Frameworks: Spring, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, REST, and microservices. Tools: Git, Maven/Gradle, CI/CD, Agile/Scrum, automated testing, and code reviews. Security: Secure coding, authentication, authorization, TLS, and API security. Experience Requirements At least 5 years of experience in Java development. Experience leading or mentoring Java developers. Experience delivering Java solutions for large enterprise environments. Experience across design, development, testing, deployment, and support. Experience with Agile/Scrum, microservices, cloud technologies, and troubleshooting is preferred. Day-to-Day Activities Participate in stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives. Assign and coordinate development tasks. Analyze requirements and design technical solutions. Develop, test, review, and deploy Java applications. Resolve defects and production issues. Collaborate with QA, architecture, security, infrastructure, and business teams. Maintain technical documentation and mentor team members. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field. Equivalent relevant experience may be considered. Java certification is preferred. Cloud or Agile certification is an advantage. Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
