Job Summary Synechron is seeking a Python Gen AI Engineer to automate infrastructure certification, plant management, and lab-based testing. The role will use Python, Ansible, APIs, and networking expertise to deliver reliable infrastructure-on-demand solutions and improve hardware and software certification processes. Software Requirements Required Python and Ansible for infrastructure automation. Shell scripting and Linux command-line tools. REST API development and integration. F5 LTM/GTM, TMSH, iControl, and iRules. Git or equivalent version control. Automated testing and deployment tools. Experience with distributed web applications and infrastructure. Preferred Additional programming languages. Infoblox DNS and DHCP products. Cisco, Arista, or similar network infrastructure. Docker, Kubernetes, virtual machines, and cloud platforms. CI/CD, build tools, and SDLC practices. AI-assisted automation or generative AI tools. Overall Responsibilities Develop Python and Ansible automation for infrastructure installation, configuration, certification, and management. Extend and integrate APIs to support infrastructure-on-demand services. Automate lab-based testing for new hardware and software. Configure and integrate load balancers, network services, DNS, and DHCP. Work with stakeholders to understand requirements and design practical solutions. Investigate automation failures and infrastructure issues. Improve testing coverage, deployment consistency, reliability, and operational efficiency. Apply AI-assisted methods where they provide measurable value and meet security requirements. Technical Skills (By Category) Programming Languages Essential: Python, Ansible, shell scripting, and Linux command-line usage. Preferred: JavaScript, Go, Java, or another programming language. Databases and Data Management Essential: Managing configuration data, infrastructure inventories, test results, and API data. Preferred: Experience with configuration databases or infrastructure management platforms. Cloud Technologies Essential: Understanding of infrastructure provisioning and distributed environments. Preferred: Cloud platforms, virtual machines, Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration. Frameworks and Libraries Essential: Ansible, REST APIs, F5 LTM/GTM, TMSH, iControl, and iRules. Preferred: Python API frameworks, testing frameworks, infrastructure-as-code tools, and AI/GenAI libraries. Development Tools and Methodologies Essential: Git, automated testing, SDLC practices, deployment processes, and technical documentation. Preferred: CI/CD pipelines, build automation, peer reviews, and infrastructure-as-code. Security Protocols Essential: TCP/IP, BGP, HTTP/HTTPS, SSL/TLS, secure APIs, access controls, and certificate handling. Preferred: Secrets management, network security testing, and secure infrastructure design. Experience Requirements Experience automating infrastructure installation, configuration, or management. Practical experience with Python, Ansible, shell scripting, and Linux. Experience with F5 LTM/GTM configuration and APIs. Experience with distributed web applications and supporting infrastructure. Experience with lab testing, infrastructure certification, or network automation is preferred. Equivalent experience in network engineering, systems administration, DevOps, or platform engineering may be considered. Day-to-Day Activities Develop and maintain Python and Ansible automation. Configure load balancers, network devices, DNS, DHCP, and supporting services. Extend APIs and test infrastructure-on-demand workflows. Execute and automate lab-based certification tests. Review logs, configurations, test results, and system behavior. Participate in requirements meetings, technical reviews, planning, and stakeholder discussions. Document solutions, test results, and operating procedures. Recommend automation and infrastructure improvements. Escalate risks affecting security, availability, reliability, or delivery timelines. Qualifications Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience. Certifications in networking, automation, Linux, cloud, or load-balancing technologies are preferred. Complete Synechron training on security, data protection, automation standards, and operational procedures. Maintain current knowledge of Python, Ansible, networking, APIs, cloud infrastructure, and responsible AI use. Professional Competencies Structured troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
