This practice represents international and domestic insurers in complex insurance coverage litigation matters with regards to all manner of liability policies, including commercial general liability, and focuses on insurance for industries that drive Southern California's industries: construction, energy, entertainment and maritime. Responsibilities: In this role you will: Analyze insurance policies, drafting coverage opinions and providing coverage advice and recommendations to clients; Conduct complex and rigorous legal research and analysis, and draft memoranda; Draft and review pleadings, memos, briefs, discovery, motions with supporting briefs and other legal correspondence; Prepare formal correspondence to opposing counsel and other parties; Attend depositions, hearings, and mediations as required. We're looking for someone who: Is admitted to practice in California. Has civil litigation experience. Has excellent legal research, writing, and oral communication skills. Has strong organizational and time-management skills. Has the ability to simultaneously handle sensitive and time-sensitive matters. Has effective problem-solving skills. The salary range for this position is $167,000 - $185,000.
