The Registered Nurse position is part of the Emergency Department and is a contingent-time position working approximately 24 hours per two-week pay period with a schedule that may include a combination of 12- and 8-hour shifts. This position includes weekend and holiday responsibilities. Contingent nursing staff are required to be available to be scheduled for a minimum of two (2) shifts per month or three (3) shifts per 6-week schedule. This RN provides high-quality, patient-centered care in the Emergency Department while also supporting other departments as needed. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing Current Ohio RN license required ACLS, NRP, TNCC, and PALS certifications required. ENPC and TNCC are required within 1 year of hire. Two or more years of hospital critical care or Emergency Department experience preferred Ability to recognize and interpret electrocardiographic information Knowledge and experience managing ventilator patients Skilled in setting up and assisting with invasive procedures Demonstrates initiative, enthusiasm, and professionalism Strong communication skills, independent thinking, and commitment to patient-centered care Focused on customer service, teamwork, and confidentiality Key Responsibilities Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department and assist other departments as assigned Assess patient needs, plan and coordinate care, and evaluate outcomes efficiently and safely Facilitate collaboration among interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care delivery Adhere to all nursing standards, hospital policies, and regulatory requirements Promote patient advocacy, safety, and improved health outcomes Support teamwork with physicians and other personnel to maintain high-quality care Wyandot Memorial Hospital is a proud, independent community hospital serving Upper Sandusky and the surrounding region since 1950.
