2027 Graduate | Digital Assurance - IT Audit | Christchurch.

FULL TIMEJUNIOR LEVELFINANCE & LEGAL

Our Digital Assurance practice works closely with the financial auditors, to understand client’s businesses, strategies and processes, IT architecture and risks. Our team keep abreast of emerging technologies within the IT environment and help in developing audit plans to counter financial risks that might be associated with the application of such technologies. We support clients in enhancing their IT control governance maturity, working across a range of industries and clients.

Working in a highly integrated audit environment, you will plan the audit with our financial auditors, perform evaluation of control’s design, and carry out assessments of the effectiveness of internal controls concerning IT processes and systems, which all help to ensure the integrity of the financial statements.

Your typical day will include:

  • Working alongside your project team, internal subject matter experts and different leaders. We work on a flat structure, so you will get the opportunity to work with lots of different people across the country (and in some cases, our colleagues overseas).
  • Getting into the details of a business and their functions - understanding how they operate, what their priorities are, and identifying where they could be exposed to IT risk.
  • Developing solutions on how to improve processes. Your voice and opinion matters, there is always more than one way to solve a problem.
  • Helping clients address regulatory requirements, providing Board members and Directors comfort that they are effectively managing their regulatory obligations.
  • Supporting clients facing challenges from corporate governance, risk management and sustainability.

Enough about us, let's talk about you. You are someone with:

  • No previous experience is required. Part-time positions or internships in accounting/finance, business analytics, law and customer service are beneficial.
  • Currently completing a bachelor's degree in fields including but not limited to Commerce/Business, Science or Law majoring in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Statistics.
  • An analytical and open mind, detail-oriented, with a passion for learning about emerging technologies and risk frameworks. Experience with technical skills is preferred but can be learned.
  • An adaptable and resilient attitude – you understand what it's like to overcome obstacles through tenacity and hard work. You are meticulous with processes and inquisitive to solve problems and embrace change.

What do you need to apply?

  • An up-to-date CV
  • An academic transcript (does not have to be official, but must show recent grades, your full name, and the name of the tertiary provider)
  • The legal right to live and work in Aotearoa

Does this sound exactly like the sort of role and organisation for you? Then apply now! We’d love to hear from you.
