Interacts with patients and family members in a professional, courteous, and compassionate manner following service standards. Accurately documents and charges for procedures to ensure quality standards set by the department and hospital. Actively supports and contributes to department and hospital quality improvement initiatives and proactively initiates process improvement ideas. Communicates and collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care and keeps the supervisor informed, seeking assistance and direction when confronted with unfamiliar procedures and techniques. Attends monthly staff meetings, record review sessions, and other meetings as required. Performs other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledgeable and practiced in 10-20 system of measurement. [Required] General knowledge of EEG procedures and equipment. [Required] Ability to observe EEG tracings and respond appropriately to abnormalities/seizure activity. [Required] Ability to recognize artifact and reapply or replace appropriate electrode(s). [Required] Ability to function independently with minimal supervision. [Required] Ability to communicate effectively. [Required] Excellent customer service skills. [Required] Computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
