Take responsibility for the complete, timely, and high-quality execution of all closing activities, including the coordination of the required reconciliation and support processes. Ensure the correct accounting treatment, valuation, and documentation of business transactions in compliance with applicable accounting standards. Advise and support operational departments and controlling functions on accounting and financial reporting matters. Analyze balance sheet and profit-and-loss statement positions and prepare financial evaluations, closing analyses, and reports for management and relevant stakeholders. Coordinate collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, particularly external auditors and statutory auditors. Actively contribute to the development and optimization of accounting, closing, and reporting processes, for example in the context of reorganizations, system changes, or updates to accounting policies. Take on special projects and additional tasks beyond the immediate area of responsibility. Requirements Degree in Finance, Accounting, Taxation, or a comparable qualification. Additional qualification as a Certified Management Accountant / Certified Accountant (IHK Bilanzbuchhalter) is an advantage. Professional experience in accounting with a focus on the preparation of financial statements. Sound knowledge of accounting under German GAAP (HGB), ideally complemented by IFRS knowledge. Excellent command of both German and English, written and spoken Independent, structured, and meticulous working style. Motivation to take ownership and actively drive improvements. Flexibility regarding working hours during monthly, quarterly, and annual closing periods, as well as a willingness to familiarize yourself with new topics.
