This involves consideration for the scope of care provided by the department, preparation and maintenance of the department budget, recruitment, retention, and training of staff, and coordination and integration of services within the department and in conjunction with other departments. Key Responsibilities Demonstrate ability to function in the Radiologic Technologist role for pediatric patients. Verify patient information, reviewing and recording treatment provided. Demonstrates Competency with radiology equipment. Prepare patients for examination/procedures. Monitor patients during procedures as required. Documents information as required. Assist physicians with examinations, procedures or other patient care activities. Monitor and control the environment. Provide equipment and supplies in a cost-effective manner based on the patient's needs. Ensure patient's rights. Participate in patient/family teaching based on the developmental age of patient. Orient, instruct, and train assigned personnel. Applies radiation safety practices as designated in Federal and State Radiation Control Regulations. Perform actions that demonstrate accountability. Required Qualifications High School Diploma/GED Leadership Experience Radiology Technologist license in state of practice Basic Life Support (BLS) Preferred Qualifications Management/Supervisory in Diagnostic Imaging Clinical expertise in Pediatric Orthopedics Compensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
